Chris Hegele
Chris joined Intersouth in 2003 to assist in deal sourcing, deal management, due diligence and mentoring.
He is a long-standing member of the Southeast's venture capital community, having spent nearly 20 years as a general partner with Kitty Hawk Capital, a venture capital firm located in Charlotte, North Carolina, before joining Intersouth. He has served on the boards of numerous private companies and two public companies.
At Intersouth, Chris works with the life science and technology portfolios. He has served on the SEBIO steering committee and as the investor relations chair of the SEBIO Conference. Prior to joining Kitty Hawk in 1984, he was with Arthur Andersen & Co. in its Small Business Group. He holds a B.S. in Economics from University of North Carolina at Wilmington, where he was recognized as an outstanding alumnus of the Cameron School of Business, and an M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
